I'll be putting on two Blacktail Strategies seminars this weekend at the Big Game Classic event at Cabela's in Lacey.
If you can't make it out this weekend, I'll be doing this Blacktail seminar and another one at the Deer Camp event on Oct. 1/2 & 8/9. The other seminar is called "After the Hunt" which is essentially a field-to-freezer talk/slide show about proper field care of game in hot weather, transport, home butchering, taxidermy prep, etc.
Hope to see some Hunting-Washington folks there

Thanks for the heads up. I suck at deer hunting. I have killed them but I am no master. So it is good to learn more.

Here is the link to the site of events at the Lacey Store.

I have asked Arlen at Cabelas for an RSS feed to this site to get updates rather then having to visit the site but they just do not get it and miss out on folks forgetting to visit it. Well crap happens and life is not perfect. I guess I am pissy today. :dunno:

That seminar was awesome!! I was there with my dad today and we learned a lot of new things so thanks!
-
I was at your seminar and very much enjoyed the information you shared. I learned a few new things and appreciated you taking some time to talk with me afterwards. I think mature blackmail are one of the hardest critters to hunt, especially in western Washington, so every bit of advice and info helps. Thanks again.
-
Tom, I regret that I couldn't stay after today and talk with you (I had to race back to Bonney Lake and pick up my girls). I'm new to hunting and found your seminar to be excellent!
-
Thanks guys! I appreciate the feedback, and as I mentioned at the start of my talk, I'm NOT an expert by any stretch. I'm just a committed student of these deer. I'm glad you found it insightful - thanks again!
For those who missed it, you can get a more detailed and thorough overview from my 6-part blog series on Post-Season Scouting. I just posted part 5 and will be wrapping up part 6 before I leave for my hunts. Cheers :brew:

Thanks Tom, I wish I would have been able to stay to go over that Moon "cheat sheet" you had. Do you got any more details on that stuff. I've spent years trying to figure out what kind of effect the moon has on these ghost's.
