lots of elk in the dark thick drianages,  check out the draws on the north side of clemons there should be very few hunters in there and the manastash unit is gonna get pounded with the general season  hunters.   i drew this tag a few years back, but never found myself in range of a big bull,  but did take a young bull late in the season.   good luck

:yeah:  Heard last year from one of the Gamies that somebody with an any bull was down to his last day and harvested a rag horn only to find out there was a nice branched bull about 20 yards away chilling in the shade under some trees.  Gamie said the guy was really pissed for not trying to get closer and being more patient.  Just what he told me I don't know if there is any truth to the whole story? :dunno:

You get off the main roads and you should do fine.
