Title: Upland hunting around the tucannon
Post by: satchel3006 on August 28, 2011, 03:34:01 PM
I took my son fishing on the lakes by the tucannon. We busted a covey of quail as well as some ducks. Some of the hills looked kinda decent for quail/chucker anybody do any hunting around there? Just curious I'll probably try it out anyways but was wondering if anybody had any luck up there.

I don't head that way much.   However, take a look at the regs and the pheasant guide on the DFW website.  There's a release site near the Last Resort that is now has a "non toxic" shot requirement.

Yep, there are a variety of upland birds in that area. Do some research (online and driving) and you will find the public ground.
