hello-
My hunting partner hurt his shoulder and probably will unable to Elk archery hunt. Does anyone know if he can turn in his archery license prior to the start of season and get a ML license?
Any info is appreciated!

Yes, but only if he did not apply for any special elk permits.
-
i think it also has to be before the archerry season starts too.
-
If he already applied for special permits then he is SOL. UNLESS..... he can get a letter from his doctor saying he can't safely or properly operate a bow due to his injury. They should then let him switch to a Muzzle Loader tag.

And you might as well take the time to travel to one of the WDFW regional offices. Trying to do it at a local dealer is a joke, considering they know what they are doing!

I just smashed my middle finger on my bow hand today. I drew a cow tag that opens Thursday. I don't know how it will effect my ability to shoot, but I'd sure feel bad if I miss out on this opprotunity.
I'm making some calls tomorrow to see what my options will be.

Why don't you shoot your bow before you call? You can always hold with just your index finger if shooting fingers.

Not worried about shooting bow. I'm pretty sure I can do that. Surgeon said if I canty keep it immobile for the next few weeks it means surgery. Finger is in 7 (extea) pieces.
