Title: New favorite backcountry camp chair

My oldest son got this as a birthday gift last month and I borrowed it on some scouting trips.  It super light-weight, packs down very small (around the size of a Nalgene bottle) and holds up to 250 lbs.  It only has two points of contact with the ground, so you sit in it and lean back (like my boys do with every chair they sit in anyways).  Perfect for around the campfire, glassing slopes etc. For thoses that want something small, light but that has back support for backcountry rambles...this chair is AWESOME. Check out the video on the link to see it set up and used.

I am not lugging a chair to the backcountry but I would check this one out for those that want to!

I have one of these and they are GREAT-have used it for a couple years now.  Well made and pretty light at about 20 ounces.

I'll haul it in when I'm not too worried about weight, but when weight is an issue, it stays home.

For me with some of the back issues I've had, it's a huge benefit to be able to relax the back with support, instead of sitting on a foam pad all the time.

Looks like you could lean up against a tree and take a good nap in that thing. I am gonna check it out. I have some REI dividend to use.

Looks nice.  Used my dividend on one of these.  Love it.  Kicked myself for not buying one a lot sooner.

Once you are balanced, it is fine and you stay up with little or no effort.  It also sits flat on the ground and provides back support if you would rather not balance.

I have one of the therm-a-rest chairs.  They are nice, but I like the one in this thread better overall.  Although if you take out the pad in the therm-a-rest chair it is about 1/2 the weight.

I think I went through about 4 portable chairs before I landed on this one.
