Title: Central Okanogan 2nd deer tag help
Post by: 3nails on September 02, 2011, 06:15:26 PM
My 12 yr old son and I will be heading over to hunt his second deer tag (antlerless) this next weekend. Sept 9, 10 and 11. We will be taking over a bunch of freshly caught/smoked sockeye to help secure permission to hunt. It is a private land only hunt. Just thought I'd see if anyone could help us in advance. If you have land or can point us to a place we will trade for fish. We also have red/white kings recently caught, vacuum packed and frozen for trade.  :EAT:

I had that tag a few years ago, If I recal, there are a few small sections (very small) of private land that I tried to hunt.  I had a heard of does just a few yards from jumping over the fence onto the land that I could shoot them on, was a fairly frustrating hunt actually  :chuckle:  Just knock on some doors, you will get permission.

:yeah: I am in the same boat, hunting in triple digits does not seem like the right thing to do for big game. Good luck to your boy.

I can't count the number of times on both hands he's voluntarily help kids fill tags. If you haven't sent him a PM, you're crazy. :twocents:
