i have a fella I'm thinking of purchasing his used browning o/u 20gauge citori and wondering what y'all think he is askin 700ish and want a back up gun to my duck gun which is a 12gauge benelli, and wouldn't mind hunting pheasants with it. so what is your inputs/thoughts. although I'm not sure if id rather have a 12 in that same gun just don't want to pay the 1400 for it new.

$700 is a good price for a Citori. It wouldn’t be my first choice for a duck gun but if it was in good shape I’d pop for it.

What chokes? Fixed? Changeable choke tubes? Need more info.

modified and improved cylinder and its a older model i believe serial number has a N instead of the J

I'd buy it. That's a nice gun.

Ditto. Good all-around gun. Modified choke will give a full-choke pattern with steel shot, so it will be a good waterfowl gun too.

:yeah: My duck guns are tools. They can get dirty and are easy to take apart and clean. Personally not something I'd bring in a duck boat... especially since it is a 20ga.

I think I was looking at the same gun on a local website for the same price. I don't think it's a bad price, but I don't think it's a good one either. I bought my beretta o/u with removable chokes from this here website for 800. If you have time to wait it out I would do so, and take a look at shotgunworld.com. I see lots of great deals on there.
