Title: Saw my first wolf in 204
Post by: JKEEN33 on September 06, 2011, 09:09:48 PM
Was out driving around before the opener and turned a corner just in time to bust its stalk. Had a doe about 30 feet away. It ran straight up the hill and out of sight faster than I have seen anything move. Ran into border patrol about 20 minutes later and they said they have been seeing them and hearing them for a while now.

I'm guessing the NE portion of the unit...

I don't spend much time in that corner, but have heard several reports of wolves there as well.

Campmeat has been reporting wolves around Curlew for several months, hope you don't mind, I am going to copy your original post to the Wolf Tally topic. Thanks for reporting what you saw and what the border patrol said.   :hello:

I know the Canadians drop their problem grizzly's off right near the border a little east of where you're talking about.  I have seen them first hand.
