Thank you for contacting the Washington Fish and Wildlife Commission with your comments on wolf conservation and management. Your email has been forwarded to each Commissioner. The Commission greatly values active involvement of dedicated citizens in helping shape the future of wildlife management.
The Commission is currently reviewing the Final Environmental Impact Statement (FEIS)/Recommended Wolf Conservation and Management Plan for Washington and may consider approval of a final plan this December. Public comments on the plan must be received in the Commission Office before November 15 to allow ample time for review prior to the December 2-3, 2011, Commission meeting in Olympia.
At special meetings in Olympia on August 4 and 29, 2011, Department staff presented the first in a series of briefings about the development process and specific details of the recommended plan. Meeting materials and audio recordings from this meeting may be accessed electronically by going to the Commission’s web page at: http://wdfw.wa.gov/commission/meetings/2011/08/agenda_aug0411.html.
