Who all went out and sacked the first of the year??? Went out Saturday and got a few but the geese must have seen me coming. had around 250 in the field for two weeks. couple days before the season only had one flock using it. but they are back now so hopefully ill get them Wednesday maybe.

My youngest (17), went out Saturday for the opener with two buddies. One each.  Today, two of them went out; They jump shot four.

He hammered that first one straight above his blind. Five pellets in the chest, blew up a wing, one to the throat.  He needs to lead them a little more and just get the head.  :chuckle: :dunno: :chuckle:  His buddie's landed a couple feet from his blind! His landed 'in' his decoy set. After getting the one that was flopping in the water, It took them a moment to find the one in the deeks..  :chuckle:

First year hunting the early hunt, had a great time. My son and I went out   saturday and shot 2, one was a white collared wusky. Sunday and tuesday we limited out with another white collar. I'm muzzleloading next year for elk so I have no conflict with my bowhunting for elk and can concentrate  on goose hunting. Hunting the dusky permit zone during the general season is a pain in the ass, so it's nice to be able to bang any goose that decoys in.

I work part time from home and part time doing whatever else comes up until 2012. Lots of time to hunt and work dogs/shovel poop.
