Well after trying to hide behind a blade of crp grass and get within shooting distance of a buck without him hearing my feet crackling on the dry tumble weeds and grasses I finally got it done. I had two missed opportunities on big bucks at 19 and 30 yards that didn't work out. One was my fault and the other was the bucks. Then on my 3rd attempt I found another buck bedded and put the stock on. I came in on top of him and could see his antlers sticking up above the brush 24 yards ahead of me. I had a down hill shot but needed to wait for him to stand up. After 20 minutes another buck next to him stood up and then two others stood up without knowing I was right above them. I drew back and started contemplating which one to shoot and then released the arrow for a double lung shot. He ran down hill 200 yards and crashed. He is cut and wrapped and in the freezer. Already ate the tenderloins!
