Title: Miller Ranch youth hunt.
Post by: whitey on September 14, 2011, 09:16:10 AM: Well Harley and I were invited to come over to the ranch and help with the Safari Club International youth hunt. This event is a great chance to help young hunters get into the sport.
There were 12 kids and they were broke into 3 groups. There were folks like myself that brought the dogs over to allow these kids to hunt over. We had a great time and I encourage all of you that have young kids to go to the sight and get your kids signed up for a chance to hunt this event. The kids that hunt this all get brand new youth model 20 gauge shotguns to keep.

This was also a great pre-season tune up on Harley. Lots of smiles and lots of fun..

Last year they did it over on this side.
I was very glad they moved it back over to the Miller Ranch.

Now as for the buck it was huge and made of 1/4 plate steel. Kindof tough to eat. :dunno:

I've had the pleasure of meeting Scott several times and he's gone out of his way on more than one occassion to accomodate hunts for out of town groups for me. Great organization and I'm glad to see them involved with the youth hunts like this
