Took this a few weeks ago when I went sturgeon fishing with Phool and the guys down on the Columbia River. Even though I had to deal with the in-laws all weekend, I was able to sneak out during dinner one night as I saw a great sunset. This was the only night there was a sunset really in 5 days.

Maybe...but I doubt it. I'm not sure I got a picture of a 200" deer last year. There is one in my gallery that is close, but probably only a 190" deer. I'm not sure what type of growth we will get this year. It's a tough time of year to shoot them as well. You only have good light early and late. The rest of the day they are hiding and it's hot. If you have that picture, you probably already have me beat... :( What type of beer do you like?
-
"Sad What type of beer do you like?"
:chuckle: :chuckle: :chuckle:

-
Congrats...always enjoy your photos. I can learn by looking sometimes..Thanks
-
congrats
-
Cool photo Shawn and congratulations, all your pics totally look almost unreal.. Do you sell any of these??? Curious, cause when we were in Jackson Hole the shops we stopped at weren't have as good and thier pics were prices at ungodly amounts.... Thanks goodness for Aug, Now, the rest of us (hackers) have an opportunity this month, crap I forgot about Bone and of course M-Ray.....
-
Thanks for the kind words. No, I don't sell. If I sold photos then it wouldn't be fun anymore. I use to shoot professionally and hated photography for it. It made me give it up for about 6 years as I got really burnt out. I am back to loving it now because I'm shooting what I want and for fun.
I'm not sure I'm much competition. It took me a year to win it as there are a lot of great photos on here. I still don't know how M-Ray wins so much, I think he has an inside edge somehow... Maybe he's mowing Ray's lawn or something. :)
-
