Excellent first post. I recommend grinding it out road hunting, that's all I do. I see tons of huge bucks.
-
I've got a great spot! Problem is some jerk in another thread posted up a pic of my home made tree stand. Now, since there are, like, totally, elk everywhere there is going to be totally to many people. I guess I just road hunt as well. If I see yah out there True maybe we can share a beer and discuss spotlights?

Share "a" beer! How dare you! I normally need to consume 10 - 12 cans of "aiming oil" before I start my road hunt. :chuckle:

Now thats funny right there. Reminds me of the road hunting thread. Getting excited for Oct 10th got plenty ole fuel.
-
Sorry, I misspoke. You see, I usually just keep a growler tucked between my thighs. That way I have more time to work the spotlight. Always looking for a "road buddy" to keep an eye out for homeowners. I haven't found a good way to snip wire without making a lot of noise.

My favorite spot is right outside Naches
-
So if you had a "plan A" spot, surely it means you have a plan B and C also??
I agree with Miles, Out West is the place to be...Vail tree farm, Capitol forest..both should become plan A+ for you...

You won't see me road hunting until I get a hybrid prius with all terrain tires. Then beware. :chuckle:

Northwest Trek.

There is plenty of land just up the road from you! Get in the truck and go!
-
I should also add that if you want to come on over to my area you are welcome. Blacktail are pretty dumb...drop in the bucket to shoot a nice one. Also tons of public land and willing landowners.
-
This thread should've been titled "Thick Sarcasm Thread".
-
Just drive around a couple gated roads and you will find plenty of game a few miles back.... Just make sure to wave and smile as you drive past all the guys walking. :chuckle:

wreckerman: the landowner is in the hospital really sick and had to sell all his land to pay for medical bills
-
stay out of the west. naches has alot more big bucks than over here little wirey buggers out here. you would fit in with a beer up in vail though.
-
and naches sportsman there might be lots of deer around here but there is also about 3 times as many people everywhere up there

public land that is not closed to fire danger.

That's sad to hear. It sucks when medical bills take someone for all their worth.

You could try the Desert Unit (290). I don't think it gets much pressure during modern rifle.

Prius? Wimp... I have an electric 4 wheeler that seats 4, all wheel drive. I put 36 in. mudders on it... sneaks right up on them there deer in the early morning/late evening hours... and since I usually am about toasted from drinking all day, good thing it does not go to fast either... :chuckle: :chuckle: :chuckle: :chuckle: :chuckle:

I would actually reccomend Alkali 371. Seen some monsters come out of there.
I guess if he is a Yakama, that would be an option. Not sure about the Desert unit though. Do Yakama's have rights there?
