I say it is a Dog! Looks as though it has some German Sheaperd in it. Where is this being posted as a Coyote? I call bull S*$&. I've seen black coyotes befor and had one for a L/S mount at one time.
-
I found it in the photography section in realtree. It was posted there from some other website. Everybody thinks it's a coyote. :bash:
-
:chuckle: Maybe it's a Coyote in disguise.
-
I say dog. The snout looks more rounded.. The only thing that looks even close are the ears when compared to this yote.

could be a hybrid, definetly not 100% yote. however i have seen a black yote before so they do exist but this ones doesnt look like it
-
I agree with Houndhunter, it looks like a cross, and a pretty plump one at that.
-
Fat belly. Fat legs. Dog

Dog!
There is an all black coyote around my place but it only seems to show up when I dont have my rifle. The last time I saw it I was setting my 400 yd target up and he ran between me and my gun. That will teach me to leave my rifle on the rest while I set a target. D-oh! Now I have to wait until winter when his coat is prime to try for him again. I want to have a lifesize mount done.
-
Sweet Polarbear, scare him over to my house :chuckle:
-
i think a full body mount featuring an all black coyote would be as pretty as it gets...
-
Bucklucky, you never know, you are well within his range but I would bet that he stays on my side of the river most of the time.
-
Dog.
-
I've killed two crosses that I can think of at this moment and even mounted one of them for practice. Thats a dog with coyote blood .
-
That stupid thing has probably been laying under the feeder eating corn, thats probably why its so fat :chuckle:

When I lived in Central California in the 70's we had a big Shepard / rot mix & was a big ass dog. About dark the yotes would come up and scream for him and he would tear ass off of the front porch. He would come home in the morning worn out. We saw plenty of yotes that were a little bigger with rot eye brows. That was the best damn dog I've ever seen or heard about since. Loyal, loving, protective he had it all. Apparently he just liked to get a little wild puss ? Who am I to criticize. :chuckle:
I've been thinking of that dog since I posted, I miss that dog.
-
I'm going with dog!
-
dog- probably a german shepard mix?
-
:dunno: Not a full blooded coyote for sure. I lean towards a hybrid, but it could just as easily be a dog.
-
Don't look like any yote I've ever seen.... I guess it could be a hybrid, but I think it's your garden variety Heinz 57 mix with Shepard in it.
-
looks like my neighbors dog :lol4:
-
Dog to me....I would not have shot thats for sure...
-
ruff ruff
-
To big for a yote.
-
Sure looks like a dog to me! Probably calling it a Coyote to cover their Ass for shooting it!
-
It looks like my dog, it could be a mix :dunno: I have seen one black coyote and one that was almost as red as a fox, didnt have a good shot either time :bash:
-
I saw the all black coyote around my place again yesterday evening and this morning. It was really tough not shooting it but it is so pretty that I want to wait until it has its winter coat.
-
The one I took a shot at with my bow a few weeks back is all black. Ugly and mangy looking fellow.

;) I'd almost guarentee that's what happened
-
Dog.

Looks like a german shepard/Heeler mix to me. :twocents:
