Curly recommended Dinovite for a solution, so we decided to try it. Heck it was cheaper than the vet for a test run. We are moving into the fall season when Gus would be still itching and scratching etc. driving us nuts with vet bill, and worry about him. We started The Dinovite around April and have been using one tube a month (I got carried away in June and used up one tube in 2.5 weeks) and Gus has been itch free!

We use the large dog tube itch supplement. They sell other items but this is what we wanted and are very satisfied.

Tired the best of the best foods, listened to the raw food guys but I am a biologist with a parasitologist back grown so that was out from the get go. What we settled on was lamb diet from a store where nearly 50% of Washington shops at. I will not get into the food thing as that just gets folks all wound up like discussing Food, Chev, and Dodge. Lets just say this, Gus is not passing gas like he did on all those fancy foods, his stools are nice and firm, his weight is OK for his size (he could lose 5 pounds but at 75 lbs he and I can live with that), and more importantly his VET is very happy with his health and physical appearance.

that is the go-to for many dogs with food allergies. That or just simply avoiding any dog food with grain in it. We've fed about 25 bags of the costco grain free in the last couple weeks. Dogs seem to be doing very well on it. It looks and smells exactly the same as Taste of the Wild Salmon but is in the mid-$30 range not $50. Made by the same company, has the same type of bag so----

Happy is that a Kirkland brand food that you are feeding? Currently I am feeding Veterinary Formulated (VF) Chicken or Turkey. It is grain free. I used to feed Taste of the Wild (TOW), but it started getting expensive when I got more dogs. The VF price has been pretty stable, $39.95, for 50 lbs, but if I could get something like TOW for half the price that would be great. I know that Costco's other Kirkland dog food brand was made by Diamond, but it had grain in it and my dog used to get a ton of hot spots. Now their coats look great and my GSP isn't chewing big holes in his hide.
Costco came out the the Blue Bag a while back. It is grain free. I had a dog being boarded. Owner brought in the dogs' own food. TOF Salmon. The costco food we started feeding looks, feels and smells EXACTLY the same as TOF. It is $35 a bag. I looked yesterday and we've gone through 35 bags. Dogs have been doing very well on it. Mostly all pointing breeds but, an occasional lab and Chessie or two.... :chuckle:
