Title: Halibut fishing in the Strait
Post by: oldcamper on September 28, 2011, 05:23:22 PM: I am thinking of some Halibut fishing in the Strait next year and was wandering if anybody has any pointers for the areas or any info would be good.

A couple of the hotspots this year seemed to be near the mouth of Discovery Bay on the Port Townsend side and some of the areas around Protection Island. Year before Freshwater Bay seemed to be a hotspot.

Would like to give it a try. Figured I would motor up next year and moore the boat for a couple weeks someplace and give it H*LL. :chuckle:
