GOT WOOD? :chuckle:!!!!
-
I got my eye on a few pairs. Hopefully I'll get lucky enough and they'll still be hanging around in a coupla weeks. I've never had anything mounted but my wife instructed me that if I take a wood duck drake I'll be making a trip to a taxedermist.
That was some opener for ya last year. Good on you and yer pard! :)

You should have a good year. I was down in Tillamook that past weekend and drove 101 all the way back and saw a lot of ducks and geese on every waterway along with flying. A lot more than I was seeing last year. I think the local population must have done excellent as well with all the water.

I have mounted one wood duck i shot a few years back that was banded. As for location i have shot woodies on the east and west side and have done just as good on both sides.

:drool:wow talk about morning wood

Can't wait till opener! I have shot so many woodies here I don't even shoot them anymore. I did get my first one mounted tho

When are most of the woodies out of WA?

I usually shoot all of mine the first couple weeks of the season. But my banded one was shot in the middle of november.
