Title: Boomwhop's 2011 Muzzy Season
Post by: BoomWhop on September 28, 2011, 09:32:57 PM
I had a fun 5 days hunting the early season.  Just wanted to share some pictures.  I am packing a camera with me.   I have a late season Alta tag so I am looking for a really big one, or a really dumb one.  Lots of deer and even more hunters.

What are you holding the snake down with? Is it dead?

Nice that you saw some bucks, but yeah, I wouldn't have sacrificed my late season Alta permit for any of those bucks. Were any of them close enough for a shot if you weren't holding out for a bigger buck?

Yes I missed the 4x4.  All in the photos were close enough for a shot.

The 4x4 is the first picture? How far was the shot? I think you'll be glad you missed. You should be able to do better than that with your late permit. You should at least have an opportunity at some bigger bucks, and that will be worth it. Looks like a fair buck though, but not quite symmetrical.

I missed at 60 yards at with him stodding in tall brush and again at about 110 yards at flat out hall ass speed.  Lead him too much, a bad habit.  They seem so far away with open sights.
