Ive been at the range a few times since early season closed and i haven't really seen anyone i know that's nothing new i hit the range during the days mid week but 2-3 weeks before season i don't go to the range because everyone is there but as soon as season closes I'm right back and its back to being pretty quiet. i was kinda wondering if anyone alse goes between early and late season?

I shoot everyday, but I own 5 acres.

I shoot in my backyard - 40 yd range

I can shoot up to 35 yards in my backyard. Don't make it out to the club/range much at all after Sept 1st. Looks like Skookum has a fun shoot on the 8th. Also, some other 3D shoots later in the month and into Nov. Those will be good "intermission" opportunities.

I too shoot in my yard, up too 70yrds, I bought a cheap 3d bucky, and draped 4 sheets of carpet behind it, then my buddy and I do a little fallow the leader, wouldn't mind finding a 3 d place?

What you probably witnessed was those that only pick up there bow in August, do a little practice and hit the woods, just like sighting in rifle right before season. :twocents:
I own 5 acres, and have 13 targets scattered around, and a "Block", practice year-round, rarely go to range but like to attend 3D shoots.
Although, if I lived up north still I would like to go to Cedar River Bowmens "mid season tune up" (if they still do it)

ya you could tell some of the guys hadn't touched there bows since last season. i thought it was funny i spend at least 2 days a week at 1 of 2 range's and Ive gottin to know afew people. then i showed up the Saturday before season and the parkinglot was full some of the guys that where there at best where holding 10" groups at 30 yards and where saying that's good enough. i had to bite my tongue real hard and just left. but since season started and stoped Ive been pretty much the only one there

I shoot all the time. Mostly at home during the week because of the shorter days but I've also been going to Skookum some. Twice this weekend.

I shoot a few times a week in my yard. 38 yards is the further I can shoot back there.

I go to skookum every other week in between seasons. This keeps my shooting skills up to par. I also bring a bag on scouting weekends to practice.
