Title: 2011 Montana Moose Adventure
Post by: Chad Berry on October 01, 2011, 03:02:08 PM: It was a fun few days of bowhunting moose in the Cabinet Mountains of Northwestern Montana. After a couple days of seeing very little moose sign, we found a bull moose track and decided to do some calling in that area for the afternoon hunt. Twenty minutes of calling we got a cow moose to respond. A couple minutes later the bull began to grunt. Dad called the bull in from 400 yards for a 25 yard broadside shot. It was a neat experience having a bull moose come into a call at such close range. It was a fun hunt...I wish I could hunt moose more often! Here are a few pics of the hunt.
