My brother-in-law just shot this buck thus morning with his muzzle-loader. (the guy on the right) He's 27 inches wide and the back forks measure right at 14 inches long.
-
very cool looking buck, what area?
-
That's one big 2 point.
-
Saw one just like that in the eniat a few years ago. contests to him
-
Thats Awsome
-
Nice buck.. love the gray, roman nosed face on it..
-
Those eyeguards look to be an inch long, but man they would be hard to spot from very far away. That's a damn nice buck, is pull the trigger on him in a heartbeat so long as I could spot those eyeguards and make him legal. What's the story on this guy?
-

dunno but I would guess some where in the teanaway because the hotel they are at is at the east end of town in cle elum. Just a guess.
-
Great buck congrats to the hunter!! Any story or more pictures
-
Very nice ...need more info though. Tell us a story please :'(
-
That's a good guess teanawayslayer- we do live in cle elum. All he told me is that he spotted the buck from a couple ridges over and from that far it looked big. Then as he got closer and closer it still looked big but was only a two point with eye guards. It stepped out in front of him at about 100 yards and he dropped it. Its hard to see but those eye guards are over 2 inches long.
-
Cool looking buck!
-
That's one big 2 point.
Actually it's a 3, if it was a 2 point it would be illegal. :chuckle:
-
Awesome buck Sabo!!!

Sure looks like 3 on a side to me. :chuckle:
-
It's a two point to me but it's a leagal deer with those eye guards. Thats a sweet two point! Thanks for the pic.
-
Holy crap! That deer read the regs and knew he was living in a 3 point minimum area so he just stayed a 2 point hoping he could sneak by. Too bad for him they count eye guards.
Nicely done! Sweet looking buck!
-
Thank you, thank you, thank you for culling out the gene pool and getting that boy . Looks just like the one I culled out last year. My buck had 14" rear tines and a little crab claw on the right side.
-
dude that is the biggest 2pt with eye guards i have ever seen holy crap, i think i would get him mounted i doubt you will ever kill a 2pt that big again

Wow very big. I wonder if they shot no matter then walk to him say oh sh!t legal one. :yike: I hope they spend 5 min before pull trigger. I have found three dead 2x2 out in wood when I went for hiking.
Hopefully hunter start to be careful.
congt to u on nice buck.
Mulehunter.

I've lived in this state all my life. Ever since I started hunting everybody counted all points unlike other states that do not. Nice 3 point.

:yeah:And another thank you to add for the cul on a huge two. Nice buck.
-
how long are the rear tines?
-
dandy buck. remember its a two point with eyeguards but that still doesnt make it a 3pt. :chuckle: think i heard that somewhere on this forum. ;)
-
Thats a dandy 2 point, congrats!!
-
That's a damn nice 3 point.
-
Sweet two point
-
2 point, three point, four point. Hell, who cares. That is a very cool looking buck and one to be proud of. Congrats.
-
Ya gotta love those big two points, and I would imagine hunting with a muzzy he was able to see the eye guards just fine. great job
-
That's one big 2 point.
Actually it's a 3, if it was a 2 point it would be illegal. :chuckle:
Acualy it's a 2 point. Eye guards don't count when it comes to muilies and the standard point count. Now it isTA 3 point in the Dept of games system for the taking of mule deer bucks but hang that on any wall around anyone worth their spit in Mule deer blood and it's going to be called a 2 point. :o
-
Lol must be freaking out the neighbors haha..... Big 2 point'!!!!!

I'm pretty sure that if a guy wants to call it a 3 point it would be ok. Then I'd also say that if a guy wants to call it a 2 point, that'd be ok. What don't eyeguards count for?

point (point)n.1. A sharp or tapered end: the point of a knife; the point of the antenna.2. An object having a sharp or tapered end:
Nice 6 pointer. ;) :chuckle:
-
Very cool buck.
-
That is a sweet 6 pointer. I almost thought for a second it was a 7 pointer.
:dunno:
-
Now that I look again, I think it might actually be a 7 pointer. It's got a point that you could maybe hang a ring off of on the right main beam.

lets leave it @ 6. I think that 7th point is the tip of an ear. just saying.
It's a legal buck by WA regs. Good bino's or spotting scope and i'm sure he knew the eyeguards made it legal. I'd shoot it in a heart beat.
-
Nice buck! I'd gladly notch my tag on a unique looking buck like that.

I'm guessing they are about 14 inches long...
-
Miles: Speaking of a tapered end and sharp, you don't miss much...... :chuckle:
-
It's a legal buck! Who cares what you call it. Nice job on harvesting a great buck!
-
instead of 2 or three point we just call it a legal fork'ed horn....nice super forky
-
Nice deer, thanks.
-
Every Mulie mount on my walls just grew by two points!!! :IBCOOL:
-

No, can't do that, a forked horn is two up on one side and a spike on the other and you don't coun the eye guards, in the real western world. :o
-
Thats a Big 2 point!! Ive seen two bucks like him in the past, both didnt have eyegaurds tho..Grr! Nice Buck!!
-
This looks like 3x2 to me (excluding eye guards). If it really was a 2 point (2x2) the eye guards can be counted for purposes of shooting him if they're at least an inch long.
According to the regs "3 Pt. Minimum: A legal deer taken in these GMUs must have at least 3 antler points on one side. A 3x3, 3x2, or 3x1 are legal in a 3 pt. min. unit. Antler points must be at least one inch long including eye guards.

I would have to guess the swauk area also seeing a buddy of mine was chasing him around during archery season.
-
nice buck!!
-
Nice 4X3!! :sas: :chuckle:
-
Nice two point with eyeguards! Anyone who calls that a three point is a dork :chuckle:

Great buck, congrats to your buddy
-
Look at the lady in the window calling 911 :chuckle:
-
FYI...the eye guards are well over an inch, they are deceiving in the photo due to the size of both guys and the fact its 27" wide. Lets play the "guess the score game" shall we? We scored it last night after the taxidermist removed the cape. What say you?
-
124 gross

Did Josh think it was an older buck, or did you think it was? Heard it had some missing teeth. Sometimes older bucks regress to big two points, curious?
-
Thats a very nice six point! :party1:
-
Its a damn good 6 point.
-
You Dorks! My guess is 127"
-
Sorry for the delay, been busy with work and out of town for a few days. The score is 124 1/2". Yes Josh said it was a old buck and had a huge neck on it. It had a 25" neck and it wasn't in the rut. The teeth were very very worn down. I had seen this buck two years in a row and it was never any bigger than a 2 point. It needed to be taken out of the reproduction pool. Josh worked hard for this one. He earned every bit of it. Congrats to him!

Congrats again to your friend. That's one of the best looking 6 pointers I've ever seen. ;)
