Title: Turkeys near Yakima/Ellensburg?
Post by: jordanramos_79 on October 04, 2011, 11:50:20 AM
Does anyone know if there are any wild turkey populations in the Yakima/Ellensburg area?  I know about the turkeys in Klickitat and the Spokane are, which is where I typically hunt but I'm gonna take my son with me this year and didn't want to have to travel as far.

328 & 329 units have turkeys, not very many but I do see them time to time.

Definitely turkey in there, but they are a spring hunt only.

A lot guys hunt out of Teanaway.  I think there is a lot of hunting pressure but some guys do well in there.

Most of time there are more hunters than turkeys.  I'd stick to where you usually go.  Lots more birds per hunters.
