Post by: high country on October 06, 2011, 01:56:20 PM
Just heard from a buddy that his neighbor saw 3 wolves chasing his horses. He was able to get one down. This is just a few miles from the center of town.

One thing we learned today, you can't and won't be able to kill wolves actively attacking your livestock anytime soon...  You must watch them die!

OK, I'll admit......
The Mrs. for quite a few years had quietly (without my knowledge) threw a little money the WWF direction in support of the wolf re-intro cause.  This ceased a couple years ago after I explained to her the ramifications.  I pointed her in only two directions at that time. 1) That her money was being spent to cost her more money in litigation and 2) The non-native type of the bionic wolf that was the chosen one to re-intro.  She did some reading and started to understand.  Kudo's to her.
Fast forward to last month.  She and her Mom took a vacation.  Wanted to see some different country which ultimately took her through Yellowstone for a couple 3-4 days.  During her time there, and when she got back, she was baffled at how the Park was void of elk in early/mid September.  Even Monmouth was pretty much a ghost town.  7-8 cows, zero calves and one raghorn.  She asked why, "you have been here at this time, I've seen the pictures, where are they."  I told her breakfast, lunch and dinner.  She was stunned!!!
Now, I told her of this latest incident last night and what had reportedly gone down in Kingston.
I will not openly state on the intranet what transpired with the rest of our conversation, but rest assured, she loves her horses as much or more than she does me.  You fill in the blanks......

well you see what happens when people are actually educated in this matter, they to will weigh on the side of farm animals and are deer and elk, just think what would happen if they would educate everyone in this as to what we have in store for us with these killing machines, glad it all worked out for ya 6x6xin6

I'm with jackmaster if wolves are chasing my animals or hell just about anyone I knows animals, they are going down.  Then I will proudly stand before a jury of my peers (get ready for jury duty hunt-wa!) not peers of bunnie huggers and let them decide.

SO I shall watch them die of lead poisoning  Besides there aren't any wolves just super large coyotes

That's what i was thinking, if you blow a leg off, you technically didn't kill them, just mortally wounded.
