Well we talked to the landowner today at the property our group hunts every year and she said she's seen 2 cougar on the property and 1 bear. This is the first year she's ever seen cougar on the property. Hoping that it hasnt pushed all the deer out or hurt them too bad but im hoping to come across the cougar sometime this season. So im looking for any tips on where i might try looking or anything anyone can offer up. Ill be in the palouse area so its wheat fields and wooded/brushy hillsides.
any advice is appreciated! trying to knock out some predators for the landowner (her request) and to help out the deer population!
thanks

aquire target....pull trigger seems pretty simple. Oh yeah, sometimes its good to have purchased a tag first.

got the rifle, got the bullets, got the tag. just gotta find the cats. should i focus on the more timbered and brushy hillsides or the brushy draws out in the fields?

for the bear I would try predator calls, might work as well for the cat :dunno: also look for a kill, if the cat has a kill it will come back to it. If you find the kill do not disturb it, just set up a ways off of it and be patient. Also bears and cats both have large roaming areas so they might of already passed through. :twocents:
