It used to be $15 4 years ago. I would not mind paying alittle more but...
I volunteered putting birds out and it was fun.

In 2007, it was $39.42, plus the dealer's fee.

$15? I remember $39 for 8 birds.. The cost of raising them is somewhere around $20 a bird, so paying $80 for 2 months of hunting is reasonable I think.u guys really paid the $90 for pheasant?

That's why I buy one... Plus it is a bargain if you figure a rooster is typically thirty bucks at a game farm or hunt club.

I don't think the increase in the westside pheasant license was ever said to be only temporary. They raised the price so that it would cover the cost of raising all the pheasants and releasing them at the release sites. If you think about it, it's a bargain. It would cost more to buy your own pheasants. Having said that, I have not purchased a pheasant license since the price went up. It's not worth it to me, because scouting and hunting for deer and elk seems to take up most of my time. Now if I had money to burn I'd go ahead and still buy one just so I could carry a gun while exercising the dog. But I don't, so I'll leave it for the guys who have more time and money than I do.
I would hardly call it a bargain. You can get day olds for 3 bucks a piece.
