Title: Sneak boat question
Post by: Heartsblood on October 11, 2011, 10:26:36 AM
So. I got my boat all ready for the water. This will be my first time ever trying a layout boat at all. I'm excited at all the access I will gain. But, I am also wondering about the new considerations based on having more access. For instance:

How far is too crazy to even consider dragging a layout boat into the field?

I know the answers will vary. So please, fire away! I am looking at about a half mile "trek". The boat weight about 60lbs? Gear, I'm not sure... :dunno:

Thanks.

I made a cart from a set of wheel chair wheels to transport boat and gear.  I just cable it to a tree or fence post while I'm out.

I've done the same thing.  A boat on wheels makes a fine cart.

Here is a decent cart that is not too expensive. $139 MSRP.
