Anyone tried cable or zip tie sights for your angled spotting scopes?
I tried it this evening and it is fabulous!
Much, much easier getting on target...actually it's a complete non issue.

Really? No one?
Missing out!

what are you talking about? :dunno: :dunno:
-
think he is talking about making crosshairs with zipties on your spotting scope :dunno:
-
do you have any pictures of this it sounds interesting? :dunno:

With an angled spotting scope it much more difficult to acquire your target, as opposed to a straight tube...
Let me see if I can steal a couple of screen shots to show you what I'm talking about.

 cool idea, i like it

The pics show using one tie. I used 1 one black one around the tube and a bright pink one around that for the sight.
It works so well. Couldn't be any more simple.
Be sure and use the lowest power when sighting.
You don't really need a paper clip or tape either...you can "eyeball" it.
To use: You put your sight on your target and look through the scope , and you are on!

That makes total sense now. :IBCOOL:

Sweet----Thanks for the tip

They are simple, cheap and they work. Can't ask for more.
