I've been out doing some scouting trips for mushrooms to be displayed for the annual mushroom festival held at the Lake Quinault lodge and came across a few good cauliflower mushrooms that will be used as well as some king boletes and chantrelles. Somebody was super curious about mushooms so I had to include her in the pictures. :chuckle:

Great looking mushrooms..... I was out today and still no chanterelles or Matsi's... Found a huge 20lb chicken of the woods though!

Must be a bad year for Motsi's I went to the best spots I know of and found maybe 5 mushrooms total. And of those, only 2 werent full of worms. And this is a spot where I found 20 lbs of #1 buttons one year and many more #2s or worse. Kinda curious what the price is on them this year???? Seems to be a decent year for chantrelles though.

In my spots, I think a few days of warmer temps should get them popping......I hope... I've seen a few buyer posts on matsiman from $25 to $35 a pound. Sounds like a pretty rough year so far...
