Soon my sleepless night will start. My yearly tradition of tossing and turning staring at the clock and waiting for the well before dawn alarm to "awake" me into the start of the best time of year hunting season. This is the night that if sleep does ever come I will be dreaming about racks and this time of year that racks that am dreaming about are actually horns. I now can count the hours not days on my fingers till the time when my jeep will be heading north to 117 in hopes my wife will be able to get her first buck. I hope this weekend fairs well for her but am sure she will shoot one in my dreams tonight. As we wait for the hours to pass I hope everyone a little rest, although I know we will not need it because there is something about opening day that can make a body run better then sleep or caffeine. So to everyone I hope you enjoy your sleepless opening day eve.

I'm with you brother. 10:30 P.M. now. Pick up my son at Homecoming dance at 11:15 and then leave Lynden to make the 6 1/2 drive over to Davenport for the opener. Should arrive about time for first light. Only slept a couple hours last night to boot. Damn, I love Deer Season though I think it would be easier if I was a speed freak or a crank addict. Good luck to all.
