It is a bit long but informative and eye opening

Its a shame that so few people have watched this. It's an hour worth spending. :o

It is a good movie. Very informative... Unfortunately i think the religious talk at the end makes it less effective as a educational/selling tool... I think it could have left that out and still done a good job... It does not bother me, but i have hear other people, even those that agree with the main message be somewhat put off by the religious overtone. :twocents: m
At least they are doing something about it. :twocents:

A good documentary has a non-personal view that contains a BALANCE of perspectives of all parties, without preaching for one route or the other and showing all the evidences, theories and facts from all sides so that the viewer can decide for themselves what to support. This was not balanced in the least. Most doc's on this issue rarely are, but they are out there. This is not one of them. Religious bigotry and hatred is not the answer.
-
Sorry Humanure but ALL forms of communication have some kind of bias EVEN documentaries... If FACTS lead your investigation in a particular direction then it is natural that you would come to a conclusion... Do you ever watch C-Span? Not very many people do.... I remember watching it one time where the reporter fought hard to stifle a laugh because of some of the ridiculousness some politician was saying... So that he could remain UN-biased...

For those that don't believe in God and are offended that someone else does then you can watch "Yellowstone is Dead" by Scott Rockholm. He has no religious stuff in it. It presents the same facts as Crying Wolf does. We can't ignore the FACTS. Both movies used nothing but facts and the bunny hugger wolf crowd just throw rocks at the director of the movie instead of digesting the FACTS. This is typical of their tactics. Change the goal posts, don't look at the objectives, condemn the fact providers, belittle the other side but do not look at the facts presented. I have notice the woofaboos present what they call facts of numbers of wolves. Some of them are actually way off base and not sure where they get their info.. In fact I saw one report that Idaho actually killed more wolves in their hunting season than the woofaboos said they even have. This sorta makes their credibiltiy look questionable.

Good information and perspectives provided in this show....
The only type of documentary a wolf lover like humanure would like is one which are baised to the wolf-lover point of view and ignores the hard facts that wolf introduction is a failure of enormous magnitude.

I DID NOT damn the facts in the flick, just the motives. Like I said, for a portion of the beginning of this, they had my attention, but it wasn't just the religious bigotry that turned me off, it was also the personal motives al the participants, and what I've seen as questionable exagerations since I've heard other views from the same area's that the film focus'(and not from the wolf crowd, either).
I would watch YID, butI am hemorrhaging funds, and I have a belief that if a person really wanted his message heard, they'd put their documentary online for free(like Crying Wolf did, I commend that guy for that). It's also why I dont endorse Lords of Nature and other flicks, they want money first over spreading truth(or what they see as truth). I actually don't care for documentaries that come from a pure wolf loving point of view, as their vision is a bit askewed and ridiculous.

When have you ever watched a documentary that didn't have personal motives? Nobody makes a documentary of something they don't want highlighted. Even if both sides are portrayed which almost never happens, the movie is not made in the eye's of both sides. It is made to stimulate one side and one side only. Some of us are just glad to see another perspective other than just how cute an apex predator actually is.
-
You are right, but I've seen great doc's that are so abashedly one sided like this one. I've seen plenty that although do steer towards one goal/truth, they offer the other side without demonizing nor belittleing. and BTW, I've rarely seen a wolf doc that shown them as cute and cuddly. I like to think I've seen the majority, and for the most part, wolves are held in reverence as powerful creatures not to be approached.

You sir, have a lot of time on your hands. I personally couldn't say I've seen more than 4 of them. One of those was during the first yellowstone introduction.

If you gave a rats AZZ about anything you would have seen, or not through your shat covered goggles, I posted the link to watch the whole movie online for free the day after it was released. Check your facts before the manure comes from your talking hole! :liar:
I will take you to ground there has been wintering elk heards for the last documented 35+ years and now there is nothing!
Yes I get a little pissed when you fricken wolf huggers start whining and spewing false statements and facts. When the wolves take over in WA, and they will, (because of the spineless elected game officials will allow it and have already), decimate our elk, and comtaminate their carcasses with the parasite so the meat is not useful, WA will shut off all hunting in name of preservation of our wildlife. Where are they now?! Certainly not looking at Idaho,Montana, and other regions where they could be implementing precautionary solutions to wolf management in WA.
Thats what you want and eventually will get.
In the meantime I fight for the wildlife we as hunters and stewards of this land pay to protect with the privlege of harvesting an animal.
This winter I will Be Honored if you would hug my wolves! They may be a little skinny from the entrails being removed but it should feel the same, warm, cute, and cuddly feeling you get warm inside for.
WOLF Backstrap anyone! :cue:

I did not know YID was up for free, or I would have watched it.
and I don't hug wolves. That would be dangerous.
