Title: lincoln or stella unit for deer in late muzzleloader
Post by: shorthair15 on October 22, 2011, 08:24:27 AM
trying to get my son his first deer. i was wondering if the lincoln unit is worth a shot during the late muzzleloader season. its any deer. was going to try and get a buck but will take a doe as well. never hunted this unit. im sure it gets hunted alot just thought it may be worth a shot. may try stella but there is a lot of private property may be more worth it to try the lincoln. any thoughts have another area if these dont pan out thanks.

thanks. my son had a doe tag when he passed hunter safety safety a few years ago. i found him one to shoot in the toutle unit as that was were the permit was for. he was not ready so i told him its ok i did not want to pressure him. he has gotten a little older and want   this first to be a positive experience. have another area to hunt just thought i would try some areas that were open for any deer to increase his odds a little.
