I am going to get a another Bird mount done this year, and have listed the birds I see where I hunt. If you want to add a pic of your bird mounts as well that would be great  Thanks for reading and voting on the post :IBCOOL:

You forgot a bird that is on this side in limited numbers. Canvasback... I took one down this last season and did a mount.

Nice mount! I added that to the poll.

Snohomish County is where it was taken. I know of two that were taken on Samish Bay this last weekend. They are here, just in limited numbers.
-
I saw two of them in a creek when I was bear hunting last year. Besides that only pics, and drawings. Are they more common on the dry side, or other areas of the northwest?
-
Eastside on the Columbia has good numbers of them in places.
-
Good numbers every year in a certain bay here on Whidbey ...

seth you have a PM

Drake Can is my dream mount.. I'd also really like a Drake Redhead and Drake Pintail.. those are on the top of my list that's for sure!!
-
Theres so many there it would be hard to choose one for me. I think it really depends on what the condition of the bird that you want to have mounted. I personally think a big drake widgeon is about the prettiest duck there is, I would really like a drake widgeon and a drake pintail in a deadmount together. Of course it would be really hard to not mount a can if i shot one, but if its a young one or a hen I'd just eat (they're supposed to be great)
-
can you throw a wood duck option up there, thats what i would like to get mounted, my son got a awesome male for his first duck, we put it in the freezerinside of a nylon and wrapped it in a tshirt, we wanted to get another male to go with it and are piece of crap garage freezer went south and i didnt notice it until everything was ruined i took it to fred peters anyways and he confirmed that it was wasted, he asked to keep it which was fine he was able to use the feathers for somethn, but still it wasnt one of my prouder moments
-
I have a pretty cool sprig mount on my wall. I think I posted pictures of it somewhere on here. I also have a bull canvasback in the freezer that I have yet to mount but should probably get it in soon.
-
how is wood duck no ton the list. would love a big woody on the wall.
-
Sorry for not adding a wood duck, I oringally listed the birds that I see at my hunting spots. I will add it to the list.
-
Sprig Pintail or Canvasback...should have got a Can done up last season, got 15 of them!!!! Lots of them on the Columbia!!
-
Seth, don't forget the sea ducks, A fully plummed out Harlequin is awesome. So are the surf scoter and white winged scoter. And above all don't forget to add the grand daddy of them all........ The King Eider. What I would do to get my hands on one of them.

I have a green wing teal on my wall, I would love to harvest and mount a drake wood duck.
-
I already have them all except coot. Maybe should work on that
-
Just somthing about those green feet on a coot. I would have to say cinnamon teal but it wasen't on the list. I have 2 drake shovelers mounted and one with a hen nothing like seeing them in full colors
-
of course a Widgeon. Would love to have one drake of each; American & Eurasian.
-
How did a coot make the list. I have most of the other ones mounted.
