Title: Bears in Toutle???
Post by: pips4bucks on October 24, 2011, 10:22:02 PM: So I drew an archery cow tag I intend to fill during the late season for Toutle. I've never hunted the unit before and I'm planning on scouting it the next few weekends. I figure I could pack around the rifle while scouting just in case a bruin shows up.

I was looking at the harvest reports for the last few years and the unit doesn't seem to hold many bears. For those of you familiar with the unit.... ever see many bears in there?

I hunted bear damage there for several years and there was never
a shortage of bear.Now the professional hunters may have then knocked
back but there still plenty.
