I see this more with blacktail than any other species. Anyone know why blackie antlers blade instead of separating?
-
Because Blacktail bucks are freaking awesome! And they suck! All at the same time but mostly because they are awesome.

oh true dat, but is there any better quarry i think not, what a deer.... maybe they palmate do to genetics and minerals on the west side
-
Its definitely the minerals from acid rain!!!! :chuckle:
-
And here I was thinking it was do to you guys touching yourselves at night :chuckle:
It is odd though 3 of the 5 blacktail sheds I found from vail had blade points. The 2pt I shot in vail 3 years ago also had blade points. maybe it's a vail thing?

Nice guys... :yeah:

Maybe it's the lack of minerals that prevents full antler growth, causing a point to start but not fully develop.(?)
-
when they get old and regress they blade too
-
They eat all the tweekers weed :chuckle:A biologist told me that it has alot to do with age

because they are into inter-species coupling and have been breeding with caribou in secret caves :dunno:
