Hey all you that hunt the walk-ins off of Johnson Creek. There has been one car stolen, and today I saw a truck with the gas lid open and the cap off. Just a warning. :bdid: Bunch of BS if you ask me...

one year my truck's radiator was acting pretty iffy so I carried water in a five gallon gas can and left it sitting in the bed in case of emergency. I was hunting one of the walk ins off johnson creek and when I returned my gas can full of water was missing. on the way way back to lacey I saw some fellows broke down on the side of the road, and one was holding my gas can, while sniffing it and looking very puzzled. I caught a couple of dudes looking around a truck parked at the Weyco gate just down from my place last week. I stopped and asked them if they were lost. They just got in their old beat up tan Toyota 4x and left. I think there should be a bounty on tweekers!

i was elk hunting a couple years ago, parked at a gate and my buddies and I get back to my truck and I start it up and it sounded like a 2 stroke motor cycle, a effin tweeker hacked my cadaltic converter off right at the gate.. How *censored* is that, only if we could have walked up on the SOB while he was under my truck hackin it off.. :bash: :bash:
This happened to my best-man's 4runner during my wedding. He was parked in the church parking lot and his cat-converter was cut off. But that's Everett for you... I'm acually glad we didn't catch that SOB or I'm sure some of my groomsmen would have spilled his blood. We even had several groomsmen packing heat that day as well as several long guns in the church that we used for some western style pictures. It could have gotten ugly.

Grew up out there, I am aware of who they are, but there have been rigs broken into out Thompson as well as at the rez, during the peak of freaking steelhead season!!

A guy I knew at Boeing would save all of the oil bottles and the card board case when he changed his oil. After draining the old oil from his rig, he would very meticulously refill the empty bottles with the used oil, making sure they were all clean and tidy. He would put them all back in the case, again all clean and tidy, and then place the box so it could be seen in the back of his truck when parked in any given parking lot - work, supermarket, etc. He said the boxes were usually gone when he got back to the truck if he had been away for a decent length of time.
It is definitely not as quick of a result as water in the gas tank, but there is no $$$ invested in this one. I'm thinking that used oil could use some "special" additives before being sealed up again.
Johnson Creek has been an issue for a long long time now unfortunatly.
It's too the point I really hate leaving my rig anywhere anymore when going on an outdoor excursion.

I believe that qualifies as first degree aggravated assault in this state and the shooter will end up doing time and losing firearms privileges. You also can't claim self defense on a car prowl unless you are in the car and they present a credible threat to life and limb. Castle doctrine also does not apply to laying in wait in your Camo while overwatching your bait car. ***
