Title: What happened to the deer?
Post by: sticky on October 28, 2011, 02:23:49 PM
Did ailens come down and extract them from our midst?  I know about the cougars and coyotes and winterkill, but this is ridiculous.  I have seen more deer along the side of the road than in clearcuts.  We have an small orchard of apple trees behind our house and have not seen one single deer dining on apples.  Last year the deer ate so many apples that we didn't have to pick any to keep the branches from breaking.

Hunting pressure has been pretty light, probably due to all the pissed off hunters who didn't see a deer opening weekend.  Is there some disease that is decimating the herds?  I have no clue what's up.

See the thread about the Muckleshoots. That'll answer all your questions.
