I am new to this forum so I am trying to start out on the right foot. If there is a youth that has not filled his or her cow or bull tag in the Toutle please pm me. I have private property to hunt in the late season and it usually hold a good number of elk. Would be willing to help out.

Welcome and what a way to start, great offer to someone in need.

It could be riffle muzzy or archery.

Great of you to make that offer. That is a good opportunity for some lucky youth to have a chance at harvesting their first elk.

My 12 year old son got drawn for the Toutle modern antlerless hunt 11/23-11/30. He has never harvested an animal and I am hoping to give him a very memorable experience. We are both extremely excited! I am unfamiliar with the area but will be heading over there on the 20th to get a few days of scouting before the opener. We were thinking about making camp up north on the state land and staying there until he gets his elk. He's getting A's in school and his teacher is on board with the plan. I hope to come back with some great stories and pictures!

GOTCHA--- I SAY to pick this person as he is the first one to respond to you about that youth tag and his son is getting AAAA'S in school!!! Sounds like a good kid to me... Maybe will be even a better kid when he shoots an elk...

Sounds like we have a winner. Are you a firefighter as well. I see local 31. Pm me a phone number and we can talk and figure a few things out. I am in the southern part of the toutle.

I will speak up for oneshot4x4...he is a personal friend of mine...and, yes, he is a F.F. (inside joke here...get off that couch and turn of the TV...:) and his son is a great kid (so is the little brother...). In fact, if it works out for Gotcha and oneshot the only problem will be telling the kid to put down the book he is reading and glass for elk!
Oh, and don't forget to take lots of photos...and Gotcha, if you need more incentive...I will offer my services of rowing my driftboat with you fishing in it on a coastal river this winter...either Humptulips Coho, or Cowlits Steelhead...for letting the kid hunt your place...I can even provide the gear (I am no guide by any means...), you just need your license and punch card (and good cold weather clothes...though I do have heaters on my 16x54 Willies)...
