Title: Bow during modern rifle
Post by: copasj on November 03, 2011, 02:37:40 PM: If you have a modern rifle tag, can you hunt with archery equipment during the modern rifle season for elk?

I ask because I was given permission to hunt on a friends, but the property is small and I haven't personally seen it. The wife has, and I will get more details after I get off work. But I do know that the property has other private property around it. So I would obviously prefer archery equipment vs modern, but we have modern tags for elk. Due to the wife just having hip reconstruction about 6 weeks ago, I am thinking this might be a better option for us.

Post by: O_mykiss on November 03, 2011, 03:01:08 PM: Yes, during a modern season for deer or elk, you can hunt with archery equipment or muzzleloader as long as it meets equipment restrictions. As stated, still have to wear orange.
