Title: New guy to the forum

Hi I'm steve, I have a Vizsla. I mainly try to hunt East. But have some close to the house.

When I get a dog those Hungarian pointers look like exactly the ticket for me. Beautiful dogs ta boot. Do you waterfowl with your dog as well?

Post by: dukethedog on November 03, 2011, 11:17:15 PM: Funny thing about vizslas..........mine won't touch a duck, in fact he will run up to it, smell it.....tuck tail and back away was if it was a parasite. I love my dog. Vizslas are great fun if you want your dog to be a generally interested in what your doing every second of the day! HA I most likely won't get another dog ever again.

Do you mean that you won't get another dog again? Or another breed of dog?

My personal dog won't touch waterfowl and either will any of the dogs in his own personal line. Just a family thing I guess. But I love my dog.

Ribka has a Vizsla and it is a good dog. Good personality and love to hunt, but not much for cold water :chuckle: :chuckle: :chuckle:
