Title: is this a shooter blacktail?

Post by: AOD on November 04, 2011, 01:42:16 PM: his brother has the same frame, more mass, and stickers off the rear tine. i passed on his bro last tuesday b/c i couldn't tell what he was exactly in the fading light. i didn't want to shoot another 90-100" 2pt. but these 2 deer are by far the coolest i've seen this year!

Post by: AOD on November 04, 2011, 02:12:43 PM: the "problem" is i have been fortunate enough to shoot a wall full of 90-110" blacktails in the last 14 years. i have always shot big framed deer in the past and have never got more than what i expected. a broadside 4pt turns out to be a 4x3 or whatever. not complaining but this year i wanted a few more facts before i put one down. and i have to say this shooting deer with a camera is kinda fun too!
