Man, we did some scouting today in one of my honey holes. Before got out of the pick up we saw a TOAD blacktail buck running down the road in front of our truck! Saw lots of sign after that. Looked like some buck fights in the cat road where we go, stirred up the leaves pretty good. I just wonder if they will still be rutting when the late muzz season kicks off? In any case, me and Smokepole Jr. are hoping for some snow next week to push them down, and let us cut some tracks.

Black Friday for me and my buddy. Hate to say it, but if I see a deer and a coyote standing side by side--I'm shooting the coyote! :sry:

Oh yes, I am excited. I am taking a first time hunter out for late season here in far E. WA. And if an elk happens to walk by, I might be able to fill another tag! Good luck to all you late muzzy hunters out there!

Sounds fun. Hopefully, you'll see some elk and get some deer too!

I am packing as we speak. Headed to Randle for the late elk hunt. Getting excited to go but not expecting much. After all, it is Randle. :chuckle:
