Title: Beginning of another harsh winter in 121 and 117!!
Post by: BeeMan on November 19, 2011, 02:07:43 PM
Still a little to early to tell but we might be in for another harsh winter and the new 4 point minimum may have been just in time...  I live in the South end of 117 and we got 10 inches of snow yesterday, just north of Loon Lake they got 18-20 inches of snow.  :yike:  Might be the beginning of another tough year on the deer,  Ive had my trail cam out at my place for 2 weeks now and I have 12 different bucks coming in but only 3 are 4 points or bigger and of those 3 there is only 1 mature 5x4.  This new 4 point min may be the difference maker on having some realatively mature bucks around here the next few years...at least in my neck of the woods anyways.

I knew there was some snow, but I did'nt realize it was so stinking much. Looks like warmer weather coming next week. I'll be at my place in Elk (124) on Friday. Buddies were just up there and there are some deer around. I like a little snow, but hopefully a little less than last year.  4 pts for archery  in 117 also?
