Title: String/cable silencers/dampeners???
Post by: mallard79 on November 20, 2011, 03:53:17 PM: What does everyone use and how do you decide where to place them?? I decided to try monkey tails with my new string and hate them. They started falling apart the first day I shot with them. I think I have one that still has a tail left on it. I just went and picked up some limbsaver stuff and it got me wondering what everyone else likes and how they choose to place them.......

Post by: Instinct on November 20, 2011, 03:59:35 PM: I just run a string stop and limbsaver weight up front. Nothing on my string. Doesnt sound loud to others when i shoot.

Post by: hughjorgan on November 20, 2011, 03:59:54 PM: I put string leaches on my string. They end up wearing out in two or three months of shooting. They do a good job of keeping the noise down though. Never saw much benefit from putting string leaches on on the cables.
