Title: Huge Blacktail
Post by: Fishhunt223 on July 11, 2008, 04:15:15 PM: I found my buck for the 08 season. Hopefully he sticks around for a while. My dad snapped this pic yesterday on his job site.

NW Washington and yes it is really a blacktail and is still in full velvet. I have some more pics of it but they didnt turn out well. They are really blury.

They don't "move" away. That buck has a distinct home range and if it were me, I'd be on a serious mission to find those '08 sheds. Have you seen him this spring yet? He should be making appearances as he did last year. With all that non-typical hardware, he'll be using the high grass and blackberry thickets for bedding cover and general security. Is there timber nearby? looks like the back lot of a small business park or industrial area. Honey holes for big bucks!
