I've been reading the threads but this is my first post.  I'm new (again) to bowhunting after being out of it for the last 15 years or so.  I'm going to try to get a blacktail in the late season and still trying to figure out where to go (getting a late start due to deciding to jump all in with a new bow and everything at the last minute :bash:).  I'm thinking of trying Wynoochee or maybe Copalis.  Anyone else bowhunt blacktails in Grays Harbor?  Any suggestions to a new guy  :dunno:.  I'm going to put in my effort and don't expect anyone to give out there honey holes, but I'll still take any help I can get!  Thanks.

C-Post.  They are still rutting hard up there.  They were yesterday anyway.  Saw a nice 3x4 pushing 3 does yesterday.  Saw 6 more bucks of varying size as well.

Better get an elk tag or you will regret it.  I would suggest the Nooch.

Nah, I got tired of C-Post, too easy.  Takes the fun out of it.

Thinking about getting an elk tag too, been seeing lots of elk and a few nice bulls when riding the logging roads and trails.

Wow lots of helpful info so far.

Are you meat hunting or hoping to get a decent buck?

Well, just getting back into bowhunting, I'd be happy with anything with antlers, spikes included.  As far as elk go, three point minimum pretty much sums it up.

Apologies for the interruption, but what or where is C-post?  I've lived here for 30 years and never heard the term.
