After theClubbusiness meeting a couple of us fired up the outdoor coin operated lights. They are looking pretty good. Can shoot the 30 maybe 40yrd right now. After a little fine tuning this week we should be able to shoot the 50yrd with lights. You can see the 50 target right now but fiber optic pins kinda make it hard to see. BRING YOUR QUARTERS! It should be all tuned up by this weekend. Shoot is $10 an adult per day I will be there and hope to see you too!

I also want to add that we are going to have a silent auction for this compressed bail target. It is 2 compressed bails. the target has a metal roof and is aproxamatly 4ft x4ftx6ft tall. We are converting all of our straw bail but holders to pipe and this one came out in one piece. It should fit in the back of any pick up truck and can be lifted in... I hope to sea you there!

I hope to come shoot early on Saturday then race back down to woodinville and put in a few hours at work then shoot again on Sunday.

So you guys put lights up for the flat range?that would help a brother get through the winter.
-
Yes we have, it is a coin operated system. quarters only.... We are in the process of tinkering with it. We are trying to focus and maximize the light so it reaches the 50 yrd target better. I shot it Monday night and my pins kidna blurred out the target, so hopefully we can refocus it and make it brighter.

I will be there, as will many of the Whidbey members. SAB is always a fun shoot... lots of hard work by the members there. The new part of the course is awesome, if you haven't shot there in a while you need to check it out.

Well i Hope you liked today guys! We had about 90 shooters today.! We had a little rain but in came and went and it didn't seem to slow anyone down. Everybody seemed to like the alligator in the creek. those of you who are shooting tomorrow will have 15 completely new shots and 15 that are changed..... :o Unfortunately i didn't score very well, might have something to do with having a new bow for 3 months and only siting in the 20 pin.... had to do the rest of them in 20 min before i shot the course....
Thank you everyone that came today!
Breakfast tomorrow is biscuits and gravy, there is a gluten free option for those of use who have that malfunction.
Shooters meeting at 815ish Shotgun start at 9am
We will also have burgers and dogs available for lunch.
Also don't forget the silent auction for the target but!
See you tomorrow!

Had a great time today! Went w/my son. He shot his recurve while I shot my new to me compound. I've never had a bow and feel I did ok today.
Not sure how to score myself, but I hit all but 4 targets (yes I missed & lost an arrow on the alligator). I thought it was a great course and challenging.
Thx
-
I'm glad you liked it! The alligator is usually a hit especially in the creek. We were fortunate that there wasn't too much movement, some times its really hard to even hit. We had about 63 shooters today. The weather got nicer ad the day went by, and the Olympic Mts could be seen from our new section on the upper coarse. We had a few of our friends from north of the border today that i shot with a few years ago, and a couple from the south. It was our first shoot of the year with the new officers, so we have a few things to improve on, but i hope to have it working like a swiss watch next time... Our club has been blessed with several members that are very experienced and are passing on the torch so we should pick it up quick... Our next shoot is in about a month so if you had a good time tell your friends and come back in Feb.
Shooters THANKYOU! I had a good shoot and hope you did too!
