Title: big washington buck
Post by: biggdogg on November 23, 2011, 05:25:53 AM: I shot this buck last weekend it is 29 inches wide biggest buck I've taken yet

The other buck was one I found dead at work I'm not one of those yakamas that shoots every bull or buck I can find I shoot more does and cows than anything

I can keep whatever antlers I find whether it be a shed or a lost animal.

Post by: biggdogg on November 25, 2011, 08:34:40 PM: I'm a timber sale officer for the tribe right now I'm in charge of 2 yarder sides I do everything from marking the timber they cut down to approving all the areas that r feasible to log love my job nothing better tthen getting paid to walk around the mountains for 40 hours a week this time of year is especially fun bec,ause I'm working in the animals wintering ground and it is also part of our game reserve that we aren't supposed to hunt but u know how that goes a few bad apples

Post by: biggdogg on November 27, 2011, 07:06:50 PM: I just want to know what gives him his doubts kind of acts like he's hunted the rez before and thinks there is no trophy animals on it just look at the washington record for elk 3 of the biggest bulls came of the rez this buck and my biggest bull came of the rez I got 3 nice bucks this year of the rez and 1 6 point bull but everybody remember no one cares what we do the rez

I agree with bigdogg there are a TON of big bucks and bulls on the rez. Its no secret why. Think about it. 1. It is closed to the general population so you don't have 3-4K crammed in there hunting general season. 2. It has some great habitat, both summer and winter 3. As bigdogg said most people don't hunt far from the roads. These animals compared to off the reservation receive little to no pressure. Now by the roads yeah every buck or bull near the road system gets smoked. But if you get off the road then there's plenty of quality animals.

I was answering Hauganes question from about page 3 or 4 asking if the photo of the deer I took was a rez buck or not, and then there were several asking or commenting on it being the same buck or not. Just a quick comparison you can tell it isn't. Your bucks are awesome.
