I have read the regulations book from cover to cover, but can't find the answer to this question.
In years past muzzleloader hunters in unit 564 (Battle Ground) could use scopes on their muzzleloaders for deer. They could not use scopes on their muzzleloaders for elk. Does anyone know if this is still the case? Thank you for the help.

If you are using a Muzzle Loader in the "General Rifle" season ( deer or elk) you can use a scope on you muzzle loader.. If you are using it during the "Muzzle Loader" season, than you have to use the regular sights..

You must be thinking of back when they had the late modern firearm season in 564 that went to December 31st. Since it's a firearm restriction area during modern firearm seasons a guy had to use a muzzleloader or a shotgun, and scopes would be legal since it was a modern firearm season. It would be the same thing for elk. If you hunt elk in 564 during modern firearm season you can use a scoped muzzleloader. But during the elk muzzleloader season, of course you could not have a scope on your muzzleloader.
