This is my 4X4 Blacktail I shot in Mason County on 10-20-2011. He came up to me as I was sitting on a big stump pile and stopped 10 yrds from where I was sitting. I had a target sized hole through the stumps where I was able to see base of his horns, head, and neck. He never moved except when I clicked safety off but too late. One shot with 30.06 through his neck-throat with no exit wound. He just dropped! I was a little disappointed because I spent alot of time and money on a new Burris tactical scope but he was so close it was blurry. Oh well, great buck maybe next year I can try out the scope for distance. Approx 240 pounds. Butcher weighed it at 145 dressed out
